
Uncharacteristically, I got up at the crack of dawn to
catch the crack of dawn. The clouds, not the sun, created the mood during this particular
sunrise. This is the view of the St. Lawrence looking out from the boardwalk in front of
the Chateau Frontenac. |

The railing on the boardwalk was too tall
for both me and my tripod, so I balanced the camera precariously on the ledge to capture
this shot looking down into the street below.

Everyone in Quebec spoke French and was very friendly. This
charming kitty I discovered in a side street courtyard was no exception. She
responded with an interested glance towards my "Bonjour," and did not run
away. |

This is another shot from the boardwalk. It
was a bit nippy in the early a.m. in Quebec, so no people are in evidence at this outdoor
cafe to spoil my "no people" landscape.
